The Drumming - Long Time Comin' Home - Old Memory and Me - Living In The USA - I Do It For You - Children Of The Dust - Soldier Boy - Bring Him Home
A group in Canada that was a big influence on the BRITT SMALL & FESTIVAL sound first recorded the title song, “Long Time Comin’ Home”. The group was called, Dr. Music, they had their own TV show in Canada, and "Long Time Comin' Home" was one of their hits. This album also features the debut of Dave Small singing lead vocal with FESTIVAL on, "The Drumming", and "Children Of The Dust", which he also wrote. "The Drumming" is about the youth of America following the call to war. "Children Of The Dust", is about one of the results of the Vietnam War, the plight of Amer-Asian children. "Soldier Boy", a popular song from the Vietnam era, is sung Becky. "Living In The U.S.A." features BRITT SMALL & FESTIVAL at their head-banging, rock & roll best, with incredible screaming lead guitar. "Old Memory and Me", and "I Do It For You", are sung with the signature Britt Small emotion, and Britt not only sings from his heart, but he rips it out, and shows it to you. The finale is a big song as only Britt can sing it. "Bring Him Home", from "Les Miserables", becomes another cry in the night, as Britt pours it out for you. The result is the very well disguised cry of the Vietnam veteran, to let our prisoners of war come home, and thereby freeing the hearts of the Vietnam veterans.
